Home Stretch
I am now in what I like to call the "Home Stretch." I am at 30 weeks and I have 10 weeks left! The baby has been very very active the past few weeks! She really likes to kick me up in the ribs which doesn't feel very good!! There are a lot of times where it feels like she is doing sommersaults. This weekend I think she was trying to find the beat to a song because she kept kicking the same spot over and over again for about 2 minutes or so and the kicks were about 3-5 seconds apart.
We are moving along with the nursery. Ben finished putting the sheetrock up over the weekend, but I guess there is still some mudding to do. He has decided that he would like to try to refinish the wood that makes up the window frame in that room before painting. I am hoping that within the next two weeks we will be able to move furniture in.
There are a few things that I am finding difficult right now. Anything that has to do with reaching my feet is getting to be impossible, ie: putting on socks, trimming toenails, tying shoes. I also have a hard time getting out of our recliner. I need to get it rocking to give me enough momentum to get out of the chair. Bending over to pick anything up has also posed quite a challenge! I have also noticed that I'm outgrowing my maternity clothes!!! With only 10 weeks left I hate to have to buy new clothes, but if I must I must!
We still don't have a name picked out. Hopefully one of these days something will come to us, but until then she's just Baby Girl.

Nursery
We have been making progress on getting the baby's nursery all ready. Right now it just looks like a construction zone, but a lot has been accomplished so far. The room that we are using for the baby originally had two doors going in to it. We decided that that wasn't necessary. The wall that the extra door was on had a large crack in it, so Ben decided to take down the whole wall. As long as that was gone Ben did some electrical work and put insulation up to try to muffle noise that would be coming from the kitchen or living room while the baby sleeps. Next we will be putting up sheet rock and then we will be able to paint the room. I really haven't been helping in the room up to this point, nor will I until after the room is painted, but I think I've been good about saying things like, "Wow! The room is really coming along!" and "That insulation looks super!!" etc., etc. The paint color we chose for the room is a really light green. I am going to make Ben paint flat and high gloss stripes on the walls. He really hasn't shown a lot of enthusiasm about that!! Hopefully this project will be completed fairly soon and then we can move the furniture in!

Hiccups
Our baby has been getting the hiccups lately! Everyday I feel her jump really quickly about 5 seconds or so apart. I found out that that feeling means that she has the hiccups! It doesn't usually last for very long, but I think it's kind of funny!! I had no idea that babies could get the hiccups before they're born!

Sugar!!
I had my test for gestational diabetes last Friday. I don't have my results yet, but I'm pretty sure everything will come out normal. I had to drink a sugary drink right away which tasted like orange pop with 10 times the amount of sugar. It was pretty gross! Plus my appointment was at 7:30 in the morning and I'm not used to that much sugar right away in the morning!! About 20 minutes after I had it in my system I could tell that the baby LOVED the sugar breakfast! She kept kicking my ribs over and over and over again! Then she'd swim from one side of my belly to the other and back again. It took her about an hour and half to settle down! After that appointment I told Ben that our child will not be allowed to eat anything with sugar in it after she's born!!
