Due Date

I have a due date!! I got a letter in the mail last Friday from my doctor telling me that I am on schedule to be due on April 23, 2007. So, if you do the math that puts me at 15 weeks today. 15 down, 25 to go! I'm hoping that at my next appointment we'll be able to schedule my next ultrasound.

In Sophie news, she has become a really good walker. She took her first steps on October 11th, but it's been pretty clumsy the last couple weeks. Over the weekend she did a lot of practicing and she has gotten really good at walking! She was walking around in circles yesterday. It was so cute!

Ultrasound Update

I had an ultrasound last week to help determine a due date for the new baby. The ultrasound technician measured the baby - all the bones, fetal heart rate, circumference of the head, etc. She also measured the size of the amniotic sac. After she was done, she said, "Okay, you're done. Your doctor will talk to you about the results at your next appointment." WHAT?!?! We thought we were going to be finding out a due date, but now it looks like we'll have to wait about 3 weeks until my next appointment. I know that we don't NEED to know the due date right this minute, but it would still be nice to know so that when people ask us we can tell them.

A lot of people have been asking us if we are planning on finding out the gender of the baby. Yes, we do plan on finding out. We want to know if we are set for clothes, or if we are going to have to get some blue. My preliminary feelings are that we will be getting some blue clothes. I think because I have had morning sickness so much worse than I did with Sophie I think that we will be having a boy this time. We'll see.

Surprise!!

This is a picture of Sophie's new baby brother or sister!! This ultrasound was taken last Friday the 13th (ooohhh) and the baby was pretty big. The baby was too big actually that they couldn't tell how far along I am. I will be going back in next week for an ultrasound with a different machine to find out exactly how far along I am. We know for sure that I am more than 10 weeks and less than 15 weeks. I will keep you posted when I find out more!
