Viruses

I had a pretty bad weekend this past weekend. To keep it as un-graphic as possible we'll just say that I had a really hard time keeping ANYTHING down. I ended up going in to the doctor to make sure everything was okay and it turned out that I had somehow managed to get the flu. I didn't even think that was possible in May!! Since I was fairly dehydrated from not keeping anything down they hooked me up to an IV and gave me a bunch of fluids. I had never had an IV before and man alive I thought my arm was turning into an ice cube!! Ben had to explain to me that the fluids are room temperature and I am much warmer than 70 degrees :)
We did get to hear the baby's heartbeat while we were at the doctor. That was the first time we got to hear it. It took them at least five minutes to find it which got to be kind of scary, but once they found it that was pretty awesome. We didn't get to listen to it for very long - 3 maybe 4 seconds tops. I think the doctor was in a big hurry!
I am starting to feel better anyways. I am hoping that having the flu is the worst thing that happens during the pregnancy. Well, that's all for now. Enjoy this "beautiful" spring weather we're all having!
